Justin Bieber Raps About Being “High” After Rep Slams Drug Use Rumors
Justin Bieber is partying rapping like it’s 3012.
Two days after the “Baby” singer’s reps fired back at claims that he’s been using hard drugs, the 30-year-old posted a carefree video of himself rapping seemingly contradictory lyrics to social media.
“I fly high like a magpie,” Justin rapped to the beat alongside a friend in the Feb. 25 Instagram video. “I go high like a bad guy.”
Speculation surrounding Justin’s drug use skyrocketed when fans questioned his animated body language while supporting his wife Hailey Bieber—with whom he shares 6-month-old son Jack Blues Bieber—at a recent pop-up event in Los Angeles. But it didn’t take long before Justin’s reps nipped the rumors in the bud.
Indeed, his team told TMZ that the past year has been "very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him."
And in response to the constant unwanted attention he gets on social media, the rep added Feb. 23 that the rumors are "exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive."
The recent rumblings only added to already existing rumors that he and Hailey were having relationship troubles, which surfaced in December and were exacerbated when Justin unfollowed Hailey on Instagram in January. And since, the pair has addressed the online chatter time and time again.
“Someone went on my account and unfollowed my wife,” Justin wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story following the incident. “S--t is getting suss out here.”
Hours after he seemingly unfollowed her, Hailey also put suspicions to rest by including a sneaky picture of the “Yummy” singer taking a nap in one of her classic Instagram photo dumps. And two weeks later, they further confirmed that their relationship is going strong while stepping for a cozy NYC date night.
After all, Justin and Hailey are no strangers to their love lives being constantly scrutinized.
“People have made me feel so bad about my relationship since day one," the Rhode founder told W Magazine last July. “‘Oh, they’re falling apart. They hate each other. They’re getting divorced.’ It’s like people don’t want to believe that we’re happy.”
And while the 28-year-old is no longer surprised by the constant criticism, she admitted that it never stops being difficult.
“I used to try to act like it hurts less and less," she continued. “I’ve tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what’s going to be said and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn’t actually ever hurt any less.”
